MAKING: a to do list...and checking it twice! just kidding...about the checking twice part but I am a list maker. I make a list for any and everything and you can bet I always have 1-2 to do lists on my phone.
COOKING: well it's not so much cooking as it is baking but I've got chocolate chip cookies in the oven right now. I have spent my whole life looking for this recipe! its easy beyond belief, basically foul proof, the cookies are so pretty and chewy and soft!!!
DRINKING: a dr.pepper.
READING: blogs. I love reading other peoples blogs so I figured I would hope back on mine every once in a while.
WANTING: to get over this awful head cold.
LOOKING: at puppies! I want a dog so bad but then I always laugh and think ya right I personally cannot handle a toddler and a puppy. No way.
PLAYING: lots of "house" Scarlett loves to play with and take care of her baby dolls.
WASTING: time. I should be cleaning, or studying, or doing laundry etc. my to do list goes on and on!
WISHING: for groceries to apper in my fridge.
ENJOYING: "me time" while Scarlett naps.
LIKING: the baking kick I have been on lately. I have missed it so much!
LOVING: my little family here. Still blows me away that I have one of my own.
HOPING: to get in a few camping trips this fall.
NEEDING: a massage.
SMELLING: nothing. I still have this awful head cold, cant smell a thing.
WEARING: ripped shorts and a t shirt.
THINKING: about work...and all the things I need to get done...
FEELING: exctied for this weekend!
OPENING: new shoes that came in the mail! its like christmas I tell you!
WATCHING: 90210...kinda embarassed to admit that but hey its my guilty pleasure. Its like Gossip Girl but with more drama and less class haha oh wow...

Over the past weekend Zac and my brother in laws Devin and Sean all got together for a guys weekend (their idea) they went up to Ogden where Sean and Kelli live and my sisters came down to stay with me for a girls weekend! we all had so much fun! us girls spent lots of time at target...went to dinner at Los Harmonos then did our nails and watched Pitch Perfect and stayed up really late telling embarrassing stories! it was so much fun! I love spending time with my sisters!
Nails polish matching my new wallet, fresh flowers and cadburry eggs, and Kneaders French toast! these are a few of my favorite things!
Finally got a forward facing car seat! now car rides are so much better! Scarlett has always done really well in the car until she started getting too big for her old car seat...it became a constant struggle...and she would always cry and we spend a lot of time in the car! I work in Riverton and Scarlett is usually watched by friends who live in Saratoga Springs...so this was a real game changer for us! plus she is SO tall that she was way too scrunched up
The office dogs Gator and Bently. They keep me company most of the day. Im not complaining, they rarely talk back.
Scarly girl fallin asleep in her high chair while eating breakfast. And can I just say this girl gets some really crazy bed head! hahah it cracks me up her hair is SO long!

mckayla update
I have been all over the place lately. I have been bouncing around like a bouncy ball in a drying machine. I have gone from job to job to job and though I loved all of them and have made some great friends I have just been sick of the "job" scene. Honestly I have always wanted a career. My good friend Jaime and my dad In the same week happened to mention to me that I would be a great real estate agent. Jaime has actually been a real estate agent for about 7 years now I want to say? and she just started with a new brokerage. After talking more with Jaime and my dad I started to think this could be a really good thing for me. Jaime hooked me up with her broker to be his assistant while I work on getting my license then once I am licensed I will work for Next Real Estate with Jaime and Steve (the principal broker) Jaime will help me out for awhile while I learn the ropes and get the hang of this whole thing. I am doing my pre-licensing classes online through TLG real estate and holy cow.....I honestly didn't think there was much to real estate but I was so wrong. It is overwhelming and exciting at the same time, I haven't been in school for 2 years! so suddenly jamming my brain with all this is hard for me but I am loving it I love learning honestly. So basically most of my day I am immersed in the world of real estate and trying to figure it all out.
Other than that I have started working out with my girlfriend Kaiti who has been my friend since kindergarten! we have always been close but grew apart once we hit high school and then started having kids and through our kids we have become friends again! it really is so fun to work out and hang out with her we even have gone grocery shopping together haha mom life am I right?! but since working out I have dropped 6 pounds in a month and a half and am almost back to my pre pregnancy weight! wow guys that took me over a year! but balancing life with so many roles is HARD! but I think I am finally starting to get it down!
Also BOTH my older sisters are pregnant! Kelli is due this summer and Katie this fall! I am so excited to watch them become mamas!
In November Zacs parents got married! right? they have been together 23 years and finally sealed the deal! we went to vegas over thanksgiving weekend like we usually do and the day after thanksgiving is when they got married. They got married at the Aria hotel where we stayed and the reception was next door at the Vdara. It was such an amazing all out wedding! easily the nicest one I have ever been to! there was a champagne toast, dance floor, tons of food, open bar, and all of their closest friends and family! it was so sweet to be apart of! Vegas is always fun but this year with a baby it really was different we didn't stay out late and I was pretty much stressed out the whole time haha but scarlett loved it! she waved at EVERYONE while we walked the strip and slept great and enjoyed seeing all her aunts, uncles, and cousins on Zacs side.
That is really about all that has happened, and maybe just MAYBE I will get better about this blogging thing again since now I have a laptop that Zac just showed up with one day all wrapped up and surprised me! it was great he is so sweet. Well like I said that is basically all that is new with me.

Wow hello blog!
I don't even want to get into why I haven't been blogging for...well ever.
Im just going to jump right into talking about S!
She is the light of my life! this girl is so hilarious she has such a wild yet sweet personality. She gives hugs and kisses and waves bye. She says mama, dada, cracker, bye, no, ya, this, and woah. She is SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! oh lordy what a miracle that is! sleep training her was a real pain in the butt I tell ya, but the most effective and WORST method out there is letting them cry it out. Within days she was sleeping through the night. Then we got her to put herself to sleep with no bottle another miracle right there! she loves to eat...well anything pretty much. She also is off formula and now on whole milk which is amazing cause its SO much cheaper! She is one now, walking, running, dancing, and all that jazz. She is just so much fun I love being her mom, I love having a little buddy to take everywhere with me and I love all the regular things that come with being a mom like bathing, feeding, dressing, playing, calming her when she cries, being the person she reaches for in a room of strangers just every little thing about being a mom I love! Scarlett is such a chatterbox she is always blabbing about something and she understands so much! like go grab this toy, or lets go bye bye, and scarlett get out of there! she hears that one a lot...haha she sure is a handful but I cant imagine it any other way! I really cant picture my life without her. I say at least 238742983 times a day "i just love her" and I miss her when she sleeps! I love and insist on being the on that puts her in her crib for bed each night. I am so happy being a mom, and I hope that we will always be best friends!

11 months
I really wish I blogged every month about Scarlett....but she is now 11 months old! I can't stop freaking out that she will be ONE next month!!!! that went by SO fast! in all honesty kids really do grow up SO fast! its scary and exciting and I love it and hate it at the same time! mostly every month I say to myself "this is my favorite age so far" haha I love it all! the older she gets the funner she gets! she has such a BIG personality! mostly she is a diva..she likes to be the center of attention, hates being told "no" and basically does whatever she wants.

- favorite baby food is pears
- bed time is anywhere between 8:30-9:30
-walks everywhere
-says "no" to everything
-points at everything
-favorite show is daniel tiger
-loves baths
-gives hugs and its the most incredible sweetest thing in the whole wide world
-scowls a bunch
-tantrum queen
-takes one nap around 1 for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours
-goes to day care about twice a week and loves it
-she loves playing with kids her age
-starting to dance to music
-loves everyone she is such a social baby
Scarlett is the love of my life! and I am so happy to be her mommy it is the best thing in the world and she is so beautiful and perfect that I am pretty convinced I dont need to have another baby! haha it has been a very hard 11 months though as well, discovering who I am as a mom and learning my own parenting style was a big change but it has also taught me so much. I am so excited to watch Scar grow up even more, she is my best friend and the love I have for her is so powerful and consuming I wish I could put in words the love a mother has for their child but there really arent any!
